Creamy Mashed Potatoes
So for our first recipe we decided to tackle the humble potato, the most versatile food. They taste so delicious any way you prepare them. Hot chips, french fries, baked, mashed, loaded, whatever appeases your appetite. So today it's time to prepare some yummy mashed potatoes. The Potato Ricer/Masher does the perfect job of mashing those spuds once boiled. Head to the Kitchenware section to purchase one , if you don't have one already.
Creamy Mashed Potatoes
INGREDIENTS
750gms potatoes
1/2 cup hot milk
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp cream cheese
2 cloves fresh garlic roasted
fresh chives
salt and pepper to taste

Peel and cut potatoes.
Place potatoes in a pot of boiling water.
Cook until potatoes are fork tender.
Once cool enough to handle, mash the potatoes with the potato ricer.
Heat the butter in a small pan over medium-high heat. Sauté crushed garlic until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Add the mashed potatoes, milk, butter and cream cheese to the sauteed garlic.
Mix well over low heat until well blended.
Add the chopped chives and serve.
If you are feeling particularly wicked substitute the butter with duck fat.
